Deborah Kay "Debbie" (Hill) Herrin, 67, of Indianola, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in McAlester. The family will greet visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Pastor Mike Ross. Burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Hill, Ramey Hill, Tommy Hill, Jackson Ormsby, Lane Cantrell, Roy Dale Haws, Chris Haws, Rickey Hill, and Terry Crenshaw. Deborah Kay was born to Fred and Marjorie (Cathey) Hill on July 22, 1954 in McAlester. She attended McAlester schools and graduated in 1972. Debbie then attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. She married the love of her life for over 50 years, Bobby Herrin, on March 13, 1971. She worked as a store clerk and store manager of the Mr. Quick store in Canadian for several years and then at Wal-Mart. She retired from the Krebs Korner Store. Debbie loved to sing karaoke and was affectionately known as "Downtown Debbie" amongst her karaoke friends. She had many hobbies, but she especially enjoyed travelling and had traveled the world. Debbie like to go to casinos and enjoyed playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her father: Fred Hill, mother: Marjorie Hill-Evans, and brothers: Jerry Hill and Peck Hill. Debbie is survived by her husband: Bobby Herrin of the home; daughter: Shonda Wolf and husband, Darren of Krebs; son: Shane Hill of Indianola; grandchildren: Justen Hill and wife, Cheyla of Indianola, Kayla McCutchan and husband, Sam of Talihina, Matthew Wolf of Krebs, Hunter Wolf of Ada; great-grandchild, Nathen George; sister: Carolyn Sue Songer of Lewisville, Texas; brothers-in-law: Joe Herrin of Fairfax, Virginia, Jim Herrin of Indianola; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends: Kay Haws and Kathy Smith; and other family members and friends.
