Sara “Mickie” Harmor, 78, of Canadian, OK, (Sam’s Point), passed away October 18,2008.Sara was born January 9,1930 to Willie Nelson Smith and Lucille Smith in Kenis, TX. While still at a young age her family moved to Oklahoma City where she attended school, graduating from the tenth grade.Sara followed her school with her marriage to Kenneth Harmor on the 18th of August 1945 in Oklahoma City.Sara was a housewife and also a waitress for a short period of time. She loved doing her crocheting and fabric painting, many of which found their way to the homes of her good friends as gifts. Sara was always proud of her Baptist Church in Canadian.Sara was preceded in death by her parents, a son Albert Lewis, brother Dale Smith, sister Mozzel Contraez, brothers, Dean Smith, J.B. Smith, Kaylon Smith, Wilie Nelson Jr., and Carl Dean Smith.Sara is survived by her loving husband Kenneth of the home, her sister, Ruth “husband Carl” Owen of Choctaw, OK and one brother Baylus “wife Penny” Smith of Midwest City, OK. She also leaves a heritage of 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.Services have been scheduled for Wednesday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Red Oak Cemetery of Canadian, OK, with Rev. Mary Phillips officiating. She will be assisted by the musical ministry of Carl and Janice Baker.Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, and 10:00 a.m. till Noon Wednesday, October 22 in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel.The family has entrusted Sara’s final arrangements to Johnson’s of Eufaula, 918-689-5322.
