Larry Allen Maxwell, 63, of Kiowa, passed away Monday, July 24, in Tulsa. The family will welcome friends and family for visitation on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services will be Friday, July 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Hennen officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers are Carl Hackler, Jeremy DeFrange, Mike Stone, Todd Stone, Anthony Echelle, Nabe Murdaugh, and Tandy Baker. Honorary pallbearers are Alan Lay, Jeff Nolan, Lance Hess, Brent Stone, Allen Fagundes, Condo Echelle, Billy Haworth, Kenny Maxwell, Jim Bob Winslett, Steven Nohelty, and Mike Haynes. Larry Maxwell was born on August 27, 1959 in McAlester to James Allen Maxwell and Annie Lee (Kinnikin) Maxwell. He grew up in the Kiowa area and graduated from Kiowa High School. He then attended Oklahoma State University, before training to be an electrician. He worked as an electrician for Stone Electric for about 40 years. He loved to hunt and was fascinated by guns and did all his own ammunition re-loading. He also spent time in the rodeo arena as a team roper; and loved to ride his dirt bike. Larry is survived by his children, Holly Baker and husband Tandy, Randi Stone, Billy Maxwell and wife Taylor, Clay Maxwell, and Lexie Maxwell; grandchildren, Jett and Jude Baker, Auggi, Wriglee, and Cy Stone, and Coltley, Dawsyn, and Ridge Maxwell; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Joetta and Jim King and Janie and Jack Morrison; and a brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Mandy Maxwell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
