Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Vurla Mae Helt, 65, who passed away June 19, 2004. Rev. E. A. Rutherford will officiate.

Mrs. Helt was born on May 15, 1939, in Savanna, Oklahoma and resided in Kern County for 56 years. She had worked as an instructional aide for 25 years.

On March 22, 2004, Vurla was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Helt.

She was a very special sister and aunt to Lorece Blackburn and husband, Robert G. Blackburn; niece, Mary Rutherford and husband, Rev. E. A. Rutherford; nephew, Bob Blackburn and wife, Kathie; 4 great nieces and 9 great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation begins today 12:00 - 9:00 p.m.
