Eva Hernandez Aguilar, 89, of South Chambers Rd. in McAlester, died peacefully on March 8, 2015 at her daughters home in Savanna. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 11 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. James Lame will officiate. Danny and Jerry Lame will present the eulogy. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory of McAlester. Eva was born in Alice, Texas on September 21, 1925 to Facundo and Jesusa Hernandez. She married Danny Aguilar on May 26, 1946 at the Sacred Heart, Catholic Church in Alice, Texas. She and her family moved to Oklahoma in 1961 and settled on South Chambers Road till the passing of her husband in 2012. She then moved in with her daughter and husband in Savanna. Eva worked in retail sales for Howards Discount, M & P Market, McClains Lumberyard, and retired as shift manager from McDonalds in McAlester. Eva enjoyed working and being around her customers. She was a member of the Savanna Senior Center. She is survived by three daughters: Yolanda Lame and husband, Larry of Savanna, Gloria Hocker and husband, Chester of Piedmont, LaMar Aguilar-Smith and husband, Phil of Glendale, California; grandchildren: Jerry Dee Lame of Phoenix, Arizona, Danny Lame and wife, Megan of Midland, Texas, William Dunn and wife, Katie of Oklahoma City, Jesika Lambakis and husband, Patrick of Yukon; and great-grandchildren: Hannah Lay, Brooke Dunn, and Summer Dunn. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years: Danny Aguilar of South Chambers Road in McAlester in 2012; father: Facundo Hernandez; mother: Jesusa Hernandez; and brothers: Noel Hernandez of Alice, Texas, and Adan Hernandez of Alice, Texas.
