Kiowa Oak Hill Cemetery
Terry Louise Powell, 71, of Checotah, died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at her residence.
A Rosary will be recited on Monday evening at Bishop Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 12 at Kiowa Cemetery with Father Jim Caldwell officiating. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
Terry was born on March 25, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to George John, Sr. & Lila Harper Schwegman.
She graduated from high school at Sacred Heart in Farmington, New Mexico. She later attended college in Texas earning a degree in Accounting.
Terry lived in Shawnee, her home town, then she lived in Kiowa and remained there until she moved to Checotah where off & on she lived for 20 years.
She was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law: Angie & Kasey Spencer of Checotah; grandchildren: Chance Tidwell of Checotah, Chyanne Tidwell of Checotah; brother: George John Schwegman, Jr. of Tecumseh; sister & brother-in-law: Linda Marie & Ned Naugle of Kiowa, and numerous nieces & nephews, including niece: Candy Rhodes; and nephews: Johnny Thomas and Dub Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her parents: George John & Lila Schwegman.
Pallbearers will be Chance Cody Tidwell, Kasey Spencer, Waylon Thomas, William Drake, Haylon Thomas, and Forest Powell.
