Annie Lois (Adams) Hall, 84, of Harpers Valley, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at her residence.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 26 at Bishop Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27 at Kiowa First Baptist Church with Bro. Craig Cochran officiating. Interment will be at Harpers Valley Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

Born April 13, 1930 in Harpers Valley to Robert Lee and Della Marie (Anderson) Adams, Lois grew up in Harpers Valley and attended both Harpers Valley and Kiowa Schools. She married David B. Hall, Jr. on August 6, 1946. They lived in California and Texas before returning to Harpers Valley to establish their home.

While living in Grand Prairie, Texas, Lois helped with the day to day operations of the family owned eatery, Hall s Dairy Delight. In Oklahoma, she worked for a time, near the close of the Vietnam War, at the Naval Ammunition Plant. Lois later had an 18 year career with J.C. Penney s working as a sales associate in fabrics and home fashions. She retired, from the J.C. Penney Company, as manager of the jewelry department. Lois also had a more than thirty year successful venture as an independent beauty consultant for the Mary Kay Company.

Lois was strong in her faith and was a long-time member of the Harpers Valley Baptist Church where she served as the church pianist for many years. She also enjoyed teaching bible school and helping in any other way needed.

A selfless individual, wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Lois gave the best advice and was always there when you needed her. She enjoyed spending time with her family, spoiling them all and enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to cook, play the piano and fish.

Lois loved to fish and was a very resourceful soul, who recycled her coke cans to buy minnows for crappie fishing. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening and was a skilled seamstress. She kept up with sports and politics and could talk a pretty respectable conversation with others concerning those topics. Lois was known as one of the best cooks around and her recipes have been enjoyed by numerous family members and friends. One other thing, not to be overlooked, was Lois love of shopping! Many have attempted, but few have succeeded at setting out to spend the day shopping with Lois!
