Ada White

Mrs. Ada White, 79, a resident of this area for most of her life, died Sunday November 10, in a local nursing home. She was born August 31,1889 in Bokoshe, Ok, was a housewife and a member of the Penecostal Hollines Church. Married to Bill White On Nov 21, 1947. He preceeded her in death in February 1963. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Chapel of Standerfer-Mills Funeral Home who was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Charley Sumpter officiated at 2 p.m. pallbearers were, Ed Schiller, W. M. Soleman, E. N. Williamson, G. I. Ivey, A. C. Hackney and Bill White. Surviving relatives include, three daughters: Mrs. Joe Sitter, Mrs. Nina Ishcomer, both of Hartshorne and Mrs. Leland Simpson, McAlester, three sons, Floyd Skaggs, Albion, OK, Arvie Skaggs, Palmdale, CA. and Ernest Skaggs of Oklahoma City, two half brothers: George Farrell, Hartshorne, Sherman Farrell, Stillwater. 28 grand children, 3 step grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
