Pittsburg County, Oklahoma

Adam Lowe, 75, of Gowen, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at his residence. The Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service in McAlester. A Mass of Christian Burial memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 23 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hartshorne with Rev. Hung Le as celebrant. Inurnment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Adam was born on December 2, 1939 in Hartshorne to John & Rosamond Key Lowe. He attended schools in Hartshorne and graduated from Hartshorne High School in 1958. Adam worked as a tile layer and a pipeline worker. He was a carpenter and later became a skilled cabinet maker and worked in that field most of his life. He first married Barbara Lowe and was the mother of his 2 sons. He later married Kathleen Angeli on October 8, 2008 in Hartshorne. Adam was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Hartshorne. He enjoyed playing dominos at the community center and enjoyed raising cattle. Survivors include his wife: Kathleen Lowe of the home; sons: David Lowe of Ponca City, Michael & Michelle Lowe of Jones; grandchildren: Megan Lowe of Edmond, Michael Lowe of Jones. Also, sisters & a brother-in-law: Jessie Gragg of Hartshorne, Priscilla Wells of Bellevue, Nebraska, Essie Echelle & Gary Cartlidge of McAlester; sisters-in-law: Loretta Knapp of Rancho Cucamonga, California, Imogene Womack of Blackwell, Connie Owen of Paris, Texas, Bonnie & Larry Rider of Marble City, Delores & Jim Anderson of Alderson; and brother & sister-in-law: Roy & Virginia Darby of Paris, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife: Barbara Lowe, after 47 years of marriage; and brothers: Reginald Lowe, Frank Lowe, Aaron Lowe, and Billy Lowe.
