Joseph Dewayne "Sug/Okie" Maynard, age 74 passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Ennis, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10:00 am at Christian Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Sug was born to William Nealie and Estelle Elois Maynard on October 11, 1941 in Flat Top, Oklahoma. Survivors include a son, Gerald and Toni Maynard of Euless, Texas; daughter, Shelia and Mike Brown of Euless, Texas; partner, Diane O'Nale of Ferris, Texas; grandchild, Chase Corley of Euless, Texas; sisters, Beulah Stacks, Betty and Jim Shropshire of McAlester, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Wynema Maynard of Conroe, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bob, Bud, James and Billy.
