Albert Julian Wright of Kiowa, OK died May 19, 2015 at 5:32 p.m. in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 94. Albert was born December 21, 1920 in Matoy, OK to William Walter Wright and Willie Mae (Robinson) Wright. He married Wanda Phillips in Sherman, TX on December 21, 1946. Albert was a member of the Kiowa Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He joined the U.S. Army and served a total of 11 years during WWII and the Korean War. He is survived by his sons, Roy Lee Wright and wife, Tina of Kiowa and Wayne Wright and wife, Norma of McAlester; stepson, Joe Faulkner of McAlester; brother, Calvin Wright and wife, Barbara of Durant; four grandsons; seven granddaughters; 18 Great Grandchildren; uncle, Billy Ray Wright of Ross, TX and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Louise (Phillips) Wright; sons, Donald Aaron Wright and William Albert Wright; parents, William and Willie Wright; sister, Gertrude Hall; brother-in-law, Roy Hall; niece, Carolyn Whitley; granddaughter, Natasha Wright. The family will greet friends on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester, OK. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2014 at Chaneys Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Pittsburg Cemetery, Pittsburg, OK with military honors provided by the Fort Sill Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Rodney Wright, Bill Staples, and his brothers at the Kiowa Masonic Lodge. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Chaney Harkins Funeral Home.
