Pittsburg Calvary Cemetery

Graveside Services for James Edwin Nelson, 67, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pittsburg Cemetery in Pittsburg, Oklahoma with Chaplain James Crowson officiating. Mr. Nelson passed away on Sunday, July 11th, at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Tishomingo. James was born on September 20, 1942 in Folsom, Oklahoma to James William Nelson and Esther Richardson Nelson. He graduated from high school in Coleman, Oklahoma and lived in Johnston County most all his life. He worked in the maintenance department at Murray State College, retiring with 25 years of service. James enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities as his hobbies. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Nelson. James is survived by his wife Linda; his son & daughter-in-law, Kevin & Joanne Nelson; his daughter & son-in-law, Rhonda & Chris Hodgson; his grandchildren, Dezzarai, Hunter, Krista and Zachary and one great-grandchild; three sisters, Bonnie Johnson & her husband Geary, Janell McCannon and LaNeta Pate & her husband Mike; two brothers, Lee Roy Nelson and Billy Nelson & his wife Dianne; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
