LaWanda A. (Scott) Morrow of Kiowa, OK died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in McAlester at the age of 89. LaWanda was born February 3, 1928 in Lamar, Oklahoma to James P. Arthur and Amy L. (Easley) Arthur. She married Roy W. Scott on August 30, 1947 and they were blessed with three children. LaWanda graduated from Moss High School in 1946. She then attended Tulsa Business School where she used music to learn to type up to 120 wpm. She worked as a clerk typist in various federal agencies and ended her career at the McAlester Ammunition Plant where she worked for over twenty years until her retirement in 1986. She married FJ Morrow on September 15, 1984. LaWanda enjoyed listening to county and gospel music, dancing and travelling. LaWanda is survived by children, Phillip Scott and wife, Caren of Kiowa, Donna L. Harrington and husband, Virgil of Cassville, MO, Dennis J. Scott and fiancé, Mickie of Kiowa, Linda Shurley of Holdenville and Tony Morrow and wife, Jackie of Gerty; She also is survived by a brother, Donald Arthur and wife Dora of Gallup, NM and sister Sue Stelter and husband Henry of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by ten Grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Amy Arthur; husband, Roy W. Scott in 1980; husband, FJ Morrow in 2014; brothers J.K. Arthur, Stanley Arthur and sister Wilma Gray. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Kiowa at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Clarence Brinkley officiating. Interment will follow at Pittsburg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Roger Gray, Randy Gray, Ross Gray, James Stelter, Alan Arthur and Randy Capehart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Benjamin Harrington, Jarod Scott and Justin Scott.
