Pittsburg Calvary Cemetery

Rhonda Renee Luna, 55, of Pittsburg, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in McAlester. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Edwards Cemetery in Pittsburg with Father Leonard Higgins officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester. Born April 21, 1960, in McAlester, she was the daughter of David Ray and Patsy Edith (Wilkinson) Luna. She graduated in the Class of 1978 from Kiowa High School and later attended Brine Institute in Tulsa for computer programming. She worked most of her life in the oil and gas industry, working as an oil well pumper. She was a lifelong member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Pittsburg. Survivors include sisters, LaRee Dobbs and husband, Randy, of Kiowa; Gladice Hutson and husband, Crockett, of Pittsburg, and Patti Whitmore, of Pittsburg; nieces, Sandy Smart, LaRanda Porter and Audrey Raney; nephews, Alan Whitmore, Jesse Whitmore, Clayton Hutson and Henry Hutson; special friends, Karen Hall and Darlene Hall, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Patsy Luna, and her grandparents. Pallbearers will be Alan Whitmore, Jesse Whitmore, Jack Haaser, Crockett Hutson, Jay McKinney and William Raney. Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Hutson, Henry Hutson, Randall Hutchinson and Arney McKinney.
