Elvira Altheta Garcia was born December 6, 1918 at Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico and died May 27, 2003 at Tulsa, OK. Mass of Christian burial is 10:00 a.m. Friday May 30, 2003 at St. John the Evangelist Church, McAlester, OK. Officiating is Reverend Leo Ahonatu. Pallbearers were Shawn Sisco, Clayton Rice, Raymond Hicks, Bear Preciado, John Shannon, Brant Gamble and Carl Hackler. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Hopper, Toolie Ryan, Ronnie Rice, Dr. F.E. Smith, Dee Wood Jesse Arevalos, Tommie Martin, Louis Zapata and Tracey Bryant. Interment is Pittsburg Cemetery, Pittsburg, OK. Survivors include a daughter, Jane Lyon and husband Tommy; grandson, Anthony Rowell and wife Julie; great grandchildren, Seth Rowell and Hope Rowell; cousin, Sam Garcia and special friend, Ms. Jerry Hester.
