Jerry Wayne Miller, 70, of Quinton, Oklahoma passed away on February 24, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Bower Cemetery in Longtown, Oklahoma. Rev. G.C. Gray will be officiating. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be David Johnson, Mark Harjo, Allen Rodgers, Doyle Stuart, Sam Wright, and Preston Rodgers. Honorary pall bearers will be Danny Floyd, Roger Floyd, Mike Brown, and Richard Rogers. Jerry was born in El Reno, Oklahoma on August 12, 1953 to Bill and Erma Lee (Hamlin) Miller. A proud graduate of Classen High School in Oklahoma City, class of 1970. Jerry embarked on a dedicated career with Safeway-Homeland, where he worked for many years before retiring in 1993. Not one to settle into inactivity, Jerry soon joined Danlin Industries as a sales associate, providing specialty chemicals to the oil and gas industry until his second retirement in 2016. Jerry's life was enriched by his loving marriage to Pamela Fremen. They married on February 24, 1999, in Canadian, Oklahoma. An enthusiast of the outdoors, Jerry relished his time going to the lake, where he could often be found boating and fishing, basking in the tranquility of nature. His passion for boxing reflected his fighting spirit and zest for life, while his love for old school cars and motorcycles spoke to his appreciation for classic design and the thrill of the open road. Self-taught and musically inclined, Jerry found joy in playing the drums, a skill he honed with dedication and enthusiasm. His rhythmic talent was a source of entertainment and pride for those who had the pleasure of listening. Above all, Jerry's greatest love was for his family. He was a devoted father and doting grandfather, whose legacy is carried on through the lives of his children and grandchildren. Jerry's life was a journey of joy, commitment, and resilience. He will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Erma Miller; and a brother, Billy Miller. Jerry is survived by his wife of 25 years: Pamela Miller of the home; children, Mindy Miller of Luther, Kerri Miller of Shawnee, Jerry “Duke” Miller and wife, Rebecca of Newalla, Shanna Dotson and husband, Dalton of Shawnee, Jennifer Baker and husband, Billy of Onapa, Jason Crandall and wife, Michelle of Checotah; grandchildren; KaLeigh Dunbar of Tecumseh, Landry Miller of Newalla, Charlotte Miller of Newalla, Miles Treat of Shawnee, Tucker Treat of Shawnee, Daisee Dotson of Shawnee, Weylyn Baker of Onapa; great-grandson, Javan Youngblood of Tecumseh; sister, Linda Dawson of Maryland; special friends: Danny Floyd and wife, Linda, Roger Floyd and wife, Therese, Dee Allen Miller; two special buddies: Rowdy and Lola. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
