Alberta Wood, 93, lifetime resident of the Blanco area, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at her home. She was born on June 11, 1929 in Shady Valley, Oklahoma to Claud and Cora (Wendle) Ingram. She married Chester Wood on May 1, 1947 in Denison, Texas. She was a teacher, housewife, mother and granny. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and was a member of the Blanco Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Drucilla Ray and husband Curtis of Blanco, OK, Rosalie Brines and husband Tom of Pittsburg, OK and Nancy Labor and husband Roy of Pittsburg, OK; grandchildren and spouses, Kevin and Pam Smith, Melissia and Zeb Prawl, Jeff and Lesli Brines, Wesley Brines and Nita, Sherry and Dustin Palmer and Wendy and Wesley Griffin; great-grandchildren, Andrea and Dusty Waldron, Rylee and D.J. Timmons, Morgan Prawl, Zane Prawl, Marlee Prawl, Bradley Brines, Braden Brines, Brett and Tori Parent, Chase and Manny Parent, Clay and Phoenix Parent, Twine Palmer, Cheyenne and Brock Griffin, Tyler and Emily Griffin and Kadence Griffin; great-great-grandchildren, Kloey Waldron, Adalee Waldron, Ryett Timmons, Henry Parent and Hudson Williams; brothers, Claud Allen Ingram, Jr. of Oregon, Murry Ingram of California and a sister, Marylee Pridemore of McAlester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Wood; both parents and sisters, Alice Mote and Elsie Lamle. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Blanco Baptist Church with Adam Lamle officiating. Burial will follow at Blanco Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Morgan Prawl, Bret Parent, Jeff Brines, Wesley Brines, Carl Hackler, Braden Brines and Bradley Brines. Honorary pallbearers will be Zane Prawl, Tyler Griffin, Chase Parent, Clay Parent and Twine Parent.
