Argie Ralph Vaughn, of Ash Creek, died March 5, 2017 at his residence at the age of 77. Ralph was born to Argie Payton and Gladys Lula (Hall) Vaughn on December 16, 1939 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was raised in Ash Creek and worked as a heavy equipment operator until retirement. Ralph had been a cattle rancher for over 30 years. He enjoyed the rodeo and was a team roper and calf roper. Ralph married Donna Lynn Jones on April 1, 2003 in McAlester. Ralph is survived by his wife: Donna of the home; three sons: Larry Vaughn and wife, Tanya of Stillwater, Jerry Vaughn and wife, Kim of Texas, Barry Vaughn and wife, Tammy of Celina, Texas; daughter: Diane Hughes and husband, Steve of Plano, Texas; step-son: C.J. Williamson and wife, Bridget of Holdenville. Also, sister: Jeanette Holloway and husband, Jerry of McAlester; grandchildren: Brandon Vaughn, Jeremy Vaughn, Archie Vaughn, Cory Vaughn, Sam Vaughn, Dana Vaughn, Shaley Vaughn, Daniel Vaughn, Rachel Vaughn, Clayton Hughes, Kristin Hughes, Amber Novakowski, Ashley Johnson; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law: Daylene Blue and husband, Doug of Bennington. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents: Argie and Gladys Vaughn, brother: Doug Vaughn, and sisters: Imogene Harvey and Judy Jackson. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8 at Bishop Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at Ash Creek Cemetery Pavilion with burial to follow. Pallbearers will be Brandon Vaughn, Archie Vaughn, James Davis, Jeremy Vaughn, C.J. Williamson, and Buddy Hendricks. Honorary pallbearers will be Maverick Davis, Cory Vaughn, and Sam Vaughn. Arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.
