Hank Anderson, 88, of Hartshorne, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home. Hank was born on March 7, 1935 in McAlester to John and Mary Elizabeth (Lewis) Anderson. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Navy Seals and worked for the Navy Super Salvage for 20+ years. He was married to Judy (Wills) in Nevada and she preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, Jonathan and Shelly Anderson, Mark and Lisa Anderson, Delona Jones, Elizabeth Starr Anderson Bransun, Shirley Severns and Ernie Woods; grandkids, Jonathan, Rowdy and Anthony Anderson, Amanda Crouch, Heather Pugh, Jeremy Nave, Angela Noel, Banessa Jones, Mark Anderson, Jr., Nicholas Anderson, Rock Nelson, Jeremy and Eric, and J.P. Woods; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, John Austin and Linda Vee (Puckett) Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane (Anderson) Nichter and the late Robert "Sonny" Nichter; nieces and nephews, Lynn Austin, Lyla Lynn Anderson, Franklin "Dink" Anderson, Ben Anderson and Johnny Anderson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Carmel "Penny" (Anderson) Smith; parents; grandparents, Hagan Anderson and Minnie (Witcher) Anderson, Buss Lewis and Ona (Cook) Lewis; son-in-law, Wayne Stephens, Jr.; nephew, Bobby John Nichter; nieces, Rebecka Ann Nichter and Mary Lynn (Anderson) Shelton. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Anderson, Jon Anderson, Mason Braman, Aaron Lawson and Justin Foreman. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Anderson, Mark Anderson, Jr., Rowdy Anderson, Anthony Anderson and Nicholas Anderson. Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Hartshorne. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery in the High Hill community.
