Mrs. Alice Williams, longtime Cushing resident, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 95 years.

The daughter of the late Howard G. Stiles and Fannie B. Weaver Stiles, Alice was born on October 31, 1912 in Cushing and was raised here, graduating from Cushing High School.

She was united in marriage to Glenn Benson Williams on Oct. 5, 1935, and to this union two children, Kay and Glenn were born. The couple had celebrated over 60 years of marriage prior to his death on January 27, 1996.

Alice was a member of the First Christian Church and was a true homemaker, enjoying cooking, canning, gardening, sewing and just taking care of her family.

She is survived by one daughter Kay Houk and her husband Jack of Jenks, OK; one son Glenn Williams and his wife Sue of Cushing; three grandchildren, Dustin Williams and his wife Brandalyn of Oklahoma City, Tiffany Sequeira and her husband Keith of Tulsa, and Steve Houk and his wife Donna of Stillwater; five great-grandchildren, Kelly, Kristen, Kimberly, Rachel and Brittany Houk; a brother-in-law Dale Williams of Cushing; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson Gregg Houk; one granddaughter Stephanie Potter, and one brother Darrell Stiles.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 1 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Reverend John Baumert of the First Freewill Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
