Rose Marie Stanton, 87, of Perkins, Oklahoma passed away on February 22, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family will greet visitors from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24th at Strode Funeral Home, Stillwater. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Christian Church of Perkins. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Rose was born on May 16, 1927 in Wichita, Kansas to Francis Baldridge and Martha Bales. In June, 1943, she married Fred Alvin Stanton. They were together until his death in 1990.

She loved to dance, crochet, and bird watching. But she most enjoyed the time she spent with her family and pets.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Martha; husband, Fred; son, Earl Ray Stanton; grandson, Steven Scott Stanton; and seven siblings.

She is survived by two sons, Fred Leroy Stanton and wife, Sheri, and Jimmy Dean Stanton and wife, Kathy; daughter, Terry Lynn Conley and husband, Tim; eleven grandchildren, Deanna, Shannon, Grady, Stacy, Clint, Becky, Paula, Christy, Jennifer, Kristy, and Lori; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Shirley.

Pallbearers will be Fred Stanton, Jim Stanton, Tim Conley, John McDonald, Gary Stanton, and Grady Parmley.
