Mildred Clark Mulchi passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 78 years.

The daughter of the late James Louis Clark and Sabelia Cottrell Clark, Mildred was born on October 29, 1928 in Oxford, NC, and was reared and educated in that area, graduating from Wilton High School.

She was married to John Mulchi on Sept. 5, 1995 in Creekmore, NC and the couple had lived several different places before returning to Cushing five years ago.

Mildred enjoyed spending time watching birds and squirrels, her Atlanta Braves on TV and all of the Bill Gaither tapes. She had worked for A & P Grocery for over 25 years prior to her retirement.

Survivors include her husband, John of the home; one daughter Susan Horton of CA; one grand-daughter Amy Horton of SC; one brother George Clark of Hanover, NC; three sisters, Shirley Ridenour of Clyde, NC, Alice Wilson of CA, and Jean Ellington of Butner, NC, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Claude Clark, and three sisters, Elsie Montague, Thelma Wilkins and Joyce Corosu.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 2 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Ralph Hickman, officiating.

Serving as casket bearers will be Marty Billingsley, Jeff Billingsley, Craig Billingsley, Brad Billingsley, Alan Goodman and Bud Stith.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
