Visitation for Joyce Edna McGill will be held at Basham Funeral care (3312 Niles Street) on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Thursday morning, March 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Larry Wood will officiate.

Joyce was born December 7, 1927 in County Line, Oklahoma to Fred and Queen Morris and she passed away gracefully on March 13, 2006 in Bakersfield, California.

Joyce moved to California in 1946 where she met Vernon McGill, Mac. They married in 1947. They lived in Pumpkin Center and Snyder, Texas before returning to Lamont, then Earlimart before Bakersfield.

Joyce was a devout member of Valley Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon and her grandson, Ryan McGill.

Joyce is survived by her sister-in-law, Jean Dobson and husband William; sons, Jerry McGill, Lynn McGill and wife Denise and Jake McGill and Patty; grandchildren, Krystal Hurtado, Sean McGill, Jeremy McGill and Clint McGill; great grandchildren, Monika and Izaiah Hurtado.

She loved her family and will be deeply missed.
