Joyce Viana Brown, 62, passed away on March 5, 2015 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her service will be held in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the Mt Everest Cemetery (South) chapel on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00am. Interment will follow. A catered luncheon will follow the interment.

She was born on April 19, 1952 to Don B. and Helen H. Ranger in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She married David Brown on June 6, 1986 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

She graduated from Loy Norrix High School and from Nazareth College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Helen Ranger, her brother, Glenn Ranger, and a nephew Aaron Ranger.

She is survived by her husband, David Brown of Stillwater, Oklahoma and three step children; Thomas Brown of Chicago, IL, Steven Brown of Stillwater and Genevieve Brown of Norman, OK; Six grand children, Lisa Nichols, Hunter Wheatley, Griffin Brown, Hannah Brown all from Stillwater and Chloe Brown and Mica Brown of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by three brothers and their spouses, Bruce and Juanita Ranger, Gene and Royal Ranger and Keith and Judy Ranger, and many nieces and nephews: Bruce & Juanita—Kim, Jill and Sara; Gene and Royal Ranger—Kayla, Nila, Leah & Dominique; Keith and Judy Ranger—Michelle and Kristine; and Glenn’s sons—Steve and Travis; and many great nieces and nephews as well.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorial contributions be made in her name to one or more of Joyce’s favorite charities: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society at 4606 E. 67th St. #201, Tulsa, OK 74136; The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Wounded Warrior Foundation at EOD Warrior Foundation P.O.
