Bessie B. Boyle passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2007 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 96 years.

The daughter of the late Fred Butcher and Lillie Johnson Butcher, Bessie was born on January 28, 1911 in Ripley and was reared and educated in Ripley.

She was united in marriage to Walter Boyle on August 7, 1928. To this union, two daughters Marlene and Maxine, were born. Walter preceded her in death on January 15, 1989.

Bessie was a member of the Baptist church.

She enjoyed cooking, reading books and being a caregiver.

Survivors include one daughter, Marlene Murphy and her husband Burton Patrick Murphy; two brothers, Alvin Butcher of Yale and Melvin Butcher of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one sister, Rosie McGinty of Stillwater; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Maxine Estes and one sister, Bonnie James.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the memorial chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Clouse officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Stillwater.
