Alice H. Niccum, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2007 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 83 years.

The daughter of the late James P. Harris and Maude Graves Harris, Alice was born on September 28, 1923 in Yale, OK and was reared and educated in the Yale area.

She was united in marriage to Richard C. Niccum on Oct. 26, 1947 in Yale, and to this union one daughter, Debbie and four sons, Wayne, J.B., Larry and Paul were born. Richard preceded her in death on January 14, 1998.

Alice was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church; she enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Debbie Edwards of Cushing, Wayne Niccum and his wife Nancy of Drumright, J. B. Niccum and his wife Trish, Larry Niccum and Paul Niccum and his wife Cindy all of Cushing; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers; 2 sisters, Hazel Grimes and Ollie Bickell and one grandson, Bryan Niccum.

Graveside services will be held in the Lawson Cemetery on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Ralph Hickman officiating.

Family will greet friends on Sunday from 4-6 in the Floyd Family Center, east of the funeral home.
