Bernice Beatrice [Beemer] Johnson
July 9, 1900 ~ August 13, 1994


Perkins - Bernice Beatrice Johnson, 94, died at her home Saturday, August 13, 1994.

Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, August 16, at Eden Chapel. The Rev Max Rudd will officiate. Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery, southeast of Stillwater. Services are under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.

Mrs Johnson was born on July 9, 1900, in Alexandria, Indiana to William Ellis and Florence Evelyn [Griffee] Beemer.

Her family moved from Indiana to Arkansas, and then to Oklahoma in 1911 by way of Missouri. She lived in the Eden chapel area for the remainder of her life.

She married William H. Johnson on February 1, 1919, in Perkins.

Mrs Johnson served many years as Sunday School secretary in the Eden Chapel Church. She was also a housekeeper at Oklahoma State University and a farmer.

Shre enjoyed her yard and garden, especially sharing her fruits and vegetables with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Edward [Maxine] Kastl of Perkins, Mrs Emil [Pauline] Kastl of Stillwater and Mrs Dean [Mary Louise] Choate of Oklahoma City' 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael Kastl, Dennis Kastl, Daniel Kastl, Stephen Choate, Neil Choate and Monte Chaote.
