Patricia Jeanette Vaughan, Cushing resident, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2006 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 76 years.

The daughter of the late Coplan Cooper and Charlotte Colard Cooper, Patricia was born on August 15, 1930 in Plainview, TX. She moved with her family to California at the age of 6 years.

She was united in marriage to Herbert Vaughan on January 29, 1948 in Oakland, CA and to this union two children, Myra and Coplan, were born. The couple resided in California until moving to Cushing in 1984.

Patricia loved to do crafts, sew, crochet and paint shirts. She would keep everything with the potential of incorporating it into one of her crafts and was known to sew clothes for her children and husband. She traveled with Herbert to numerous craft shows.

She was an active Den Mother with Boy Scouts for her son and grandson. And also loved to help Gary Detrich with the annual Thanksgiving Dinner; she helped serve for over 8 years.

Survivors include her husband of over 58 years, Herbert, of the home; one daughter, Myra Madsen of Chico, CA; one son, Coplan Vaughan of Syracuse, Utah; one grandson, Michael Dean of Norman; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Dean and Ian Dean of Norman; one sister, Mary McCollough of Ontario, CA and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Wardene Moleiro. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Gary Detrich officiating.

The family will greet friends at the Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 -8:00 p.m.
