Edna E. (Murray) Miller

August 11, 1919 ~ April 13, 2020

Edna was born on August 11, 1939, in Shelby, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Inez (Langston) Murray. Edna grew up and attended school in Mobile, Semmes, and the Eight Mile area of Alabama. Following the completion of her education, Edna was united in marriage to Billy William Miller, Sr on June 3, 1957, in Greene, Mississippi. Edna and Billy raised their children in the Mobile area before moving to Cleveland in 1976, where she has continued to reside. Edna worked during school time as a crosswalk attendant at Broadway and Wichita for many years.

Edna was an Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron of the Cleveland Chapter. Edna enjoyed traveling and watching westerns on television. She was also an active part of the Terlton Senior Citizens for many years. Edna also enjoyed going to the Hickory House daily when she was able.

Edna is survived by her children Ann Woodrell and her husband Larry of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Kaye Kesner and her husband Matt of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Eddie Miller and his wife Carol of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Billy William Miller, Jr and his wife Joy of Terlton, Oklahoma, Michael Miller of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; sister in law Maxine Ingram and her husband Joe of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; brother in law Gary Chaudron of Alabama; seventeen grandkids, sixteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband Billy, four siblings Andrew Jackson Murray, Jr., Gladys Simmis, Barbara Price Williams, Ernie Hollingsworth, stepsister Margaret Price Williams.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 16, 2020, at the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma, with Father Todd Nance officiating. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Edna at www.chapman-black.com.
