Anna Wilkerson services held here Wednesday

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, Oct 22., for pioneer citian, Anna M. Wilkerson, 72, who passed away here on Friday, Oct. 17.

Born Oct 12, 1897 in Castle Grove, Iowa, she came to Pawnee with her parents at the age of 12 and has lived here since.

She married O. E. Meeker in December 1913 at Pawnee. On April of 1946 she married Jim Wilkerson at Flagstaff, Arizona and he passed away on Nov. 2, 1960.

She was a member of the Lutheran church and the Rebekah lodge at Pawnee.

Survivors include 2 sons: Charley L. Meeker of Los Angeles, Calif. and Ben L. Meeker of Arcadia, Calif. plus 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Bert Williams of Long Beach, Calif.

Services were held at the Poteet Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Graham F. Riggs officiating. Interment was in Highland cemetery under direction of the Poteet Funeral Home.
