MURLE E. BURROUGHS
Services: Thurs., Mar. 18, 10 a.m.
Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., for
Murle E. Burroughs, 87, who passed away March 14, 2004.
Mrs. Burroughs was born on October 8, 1916, in Afton, Oklahoma and had
resided in Kern County for 86 years. She had worked as a Social Worker for the Kern
County Welfare Dept. for 12 years. Mrs. Burroughs was the youngest of nine
children and the last one to pass away. She attended Riverlakes Church and was
a member of the Retired County Employees Association. She was very active in
Sundowners Good Sam Club.
Mrs. Burroughs is survived by her sons, James Burroughs of Wasco and Robert
Burroughs of Nevada; daughter, Donna Dungan of Bakersfield; 6 grandchildren and
several great grandchildren.
No visitation is scheduled.
