A. B. Park, Osage county pioneer, died Thursday
A. B. Park, 87, pioneer Osage county rancher and one of the founders of Skiatook, died Thursday at his ranch home southwest of Skiatook. He had been seriously ill for two days.
Park was an early day merchant in Skiatook, had served as chairman of the Osage county fair board for 20 years and was a charter member of the Skiatook Masonic lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason.
Park was born December 25, 1874 in Hardie, West Va. and was married to Estelle Yeargain on July 17, 1907. The Parks observed their 55th wedding anniversary last Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife of the home; four sons, Y. T. Park and Earl W. Park of Skiatook, A. B. Park, Jr. and Robert Park of Sperry; two daughters, Mrs. J. M. Patrick of Skiatook and Mrs. D. W. Rumsey of Sperry; a brother, Allen Park of Morfield, W. Va., 17 grand children and 13 great grand children.
Service will be a 2 p.m. Saturday in the Peters-Hill Home chapel in Skiatook with burial in the Osage Gardens there.
