W.A. "Mac" McKinney, 71, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 17, 2002.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery with Phil Mercado, pastor of pastoral care at Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Masonic rites will be by San Jacinto Lodge 1330. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.
Mr. McKinney was born in Pawhuska, Okla., and had been a longtime Amarillo resident. He worked for city of Amarillo Fire Department and retired as a captain. He was owner of Mac's High-Tech Fiberglass.
He had been a member of San Jacinto Masonic Lodge 1330 for 27 years. He was also a member of Lubbock Scottish Rite, Khiva Temple, where he was active in Muleskinners and Khiva Klowns, and Coors Cowboy Club.
He had been presented the Khiva Temple Jewel for service. He had served on the Tri-State Fair Board of Directors and the Crippled Children's Hospital Board in Houston. He married Linda Busick on Aug. 12, 1976, in Mena, Ark.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Maxine Silverstein of Amarillo; four daughters, Sharon McKinney Jones, Sandi McKinney Dean and Kari Eagleston, all of Amarillo, and Susan McKinney Hicks of Canyon; a son, Doug Morrison of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Khiva Temple Travel Fund, P.O. Box 328, Amarillo, TX 79105.
