Dorma Jean Watts (Lewis)

watts-d-j

Maarch 21, 1959 ~ May 22, 2023

Dorma Jean Watts, 64 of Tulare, California passed away on May 22, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born March 21, 1959 to Harold and Betty Watts.

Dorma was a free spirit who moved with the wind but was always grounded by the love for her family and friends. She had a warm, inviting heart and a special ability to charm and tell stories. She never met a stranger. She could make you laugh until you cried or she would cry with you in your darkest times and lift you up in prayer. Dorma loved the Lord and she was a prayer warrior. She'd get a little glint in her eye when she'd make a silly pun or recall a funny family memory or quote a favorite movie. You'd be hard pressed to beat her in a game of Trivial Pursuit or best her with football stats (go 'Niners"). She cooked for those she loved. Without a recipe, she made the best beans and cornbread and blue-ribbon pies, an art she learned from her mother. She remembered everyone's birthdays and special occasions and little details about their lives. Even over long distances you always knew she cared.

A loving daughter, sister, mom, proud gramma and loyal friend. If you were fortunate enough to know Dorma you loved her. She is survived by her two children Mandy (Ben) Pile and Kenny (Bridgette) Lockwood; her treasured grandbabies Parker and Sully; her brother Michael (Brenda) Watts; two sisters Karyn (Ronny) Winters and Dotty Martin; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Dorma flew home to Jesus. She is surrounded by His glory and now healed from any pain. She is dancing and singing Hallelujah and worshipping His name. We know we will see her again.

"Some bright morning when this is life over I'll fly away To that home on God's celestial shore I'll fly away"

"Graveside Service for Dorma will be Friday, May 26, 2023, at 1:00pm at the Fairfax Cemetery in Fairfax, OK. All arrangements are made by Powell Funeral Service in Hominy, Oklahoma.
