Virginia Withrow, a longtime resident of Henryetta, was born Wednesday, August 8, 1917 in Morris to Walter and Effie (Whitaker) Clark. She passed away Friday, October 19, 2001 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 12 days. She married Theodore "Ted" Withrow, December 20, 1941 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1995. She was a Wal-Mart employee for 27 years.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henryetta, a member of Eastern Star, the Dewar Rebekah Lodge, and on the Okmulgee County Election board for fifty years. She attended and graduated from Eram High School in Eram and attended nursing school in Arkansas and became a registered nurse.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 22, at 10:00 am at the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Jim Pasley. Burial will be at the West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden Funeral Home.
She is survived by son, Ted and wife Pam Withrow, Jr. of Bethany; daughters Sheila and husband John Sukovaty of Tulsa; Cheryl and husband Jerry Page of Broken Arrow, brothers Bill and wife Pauling Clark of Oklahoma City, Bud Clark of Oklahoma City; sister Carmaletta Langston of Lamar Colorado; grandchildren, Shannon Skinner, Stephanie Hackler, Gabe Withrow, Scott Page, Valerie Sukovaty, John Sukovaty, Clay Withrow; great grandchildren, Jordan Amos, Bailey Hackler, Kallie Withrow and Foster Skinner.
