Jess Short a longtime Henryetta resident passed away on November 21, 2005 in Tulsa,Ok at the age of 81.
Born April 4, 1924 in Keota, Ok to George Washington and Lula (Perkins) Short. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army. Jess was a schoolteacher
and retired fro Okmulgee Public Schools. He married Lois Moore on December 21, 2968 (36 years 11 months to the Day). His parents and a stepmother Opal Short
precede him in death.
