Jimmie “Red” Bevan a Henryetta resident passed away on September 2, 2004 in Henryetta at the age of 82. Born September 16, 1921 in Henryetta, OK to James Alton and Vauter (Baird) Bevan. Jimmie was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army and retired from Eagle Pitcher Smelter. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Henryetta. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Lucy (12-23-94), sister; Wanda Baker and two brothers; R.C. and Joe Bevan.
Survived by:Neices:,Norma Jean Nagorski of Clayton, CA,Mary Blazer and husband Leroy of Florida,Beverly Sietz and husband Gary of Florida,Sherry Cole and Husband Jerry of Joplin, Missouri,Nephews:Don Bevan and wife Madonna of Broken Arrow,Kenny Bevan and wife Carol of Henryetta,Phil Baker and wife Jean of Missouri.
Services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow a t the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
