James Holt "Jim" Hazelwood

Born Oct. 29, 1901, in Webster Springs, West Virginia
Died May 24, 1970, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Husband of Anna Elizabeth [Gerdes] Hazelwood

James H. Hazelwood was born in October 29, 1901 in Webster Springs, Webster Co., West Virginia, the son of James and Drusilla Hazelwood. He was the seventh child of a family of ten children.

He moved to Oklahoma in 1922 and to Oklahoma City in 1944. He was retired oil field construction superintendent.

He was married about 1923 to Anna Elizabeth Gerdes, and they had four children: sons, James R., and Charles E. and daughters, Wilma June and Norma L.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Elizabeth; two sons, James R. Hazelwood of Oklahoma City, and Charles E. Hazelwood of Manhattan Beach, California; two daughters, Mrs. J. W. (Norma L.) Johnson of Shawnee. Okla., and Mrs. Alex (Wilma June) McNeely of Pomona, Calif.; six grandchildren; a brother, Harry Hazelwood, of Houston, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Burrer, West Covina, California.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26th, at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home with burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
