FREDRIC DELBERT JACKSON
March 27, 1932 - October 4, 1999
Jackson, 67,of Oklahoma City went peacefully to be with the Lord on Oct. 4, 1999. He was born March 27, 1932, on a farm outside of Guthrie to Robert G. Jackson and Pansy Bradley Jackson.
Fred was a member of Kentucky Avenue Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. Fred also taught public school and served as an administrator at various schools in Oklahoma and the Panhandle including Hardesty and Keota, Okla. After the Keota school was destroyed by fire, Fred designed and directed the building of the new school, saving district taxpayers thousands of dollars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law Marie Jeter, and brothers-in-law Jim McCullah and Doyle Connelly.
Survivors include Betty, his wife of 46 years; children Phyllis and Roy Creamer, Freda and George Henderson, Dave and Alycea Jackson, and Kris and Lisa Jackson; grandchildren, Josh and Seth Creamer, Kyle and Tony Henderson, Kelin, Heather and Austin Jackson, Kari and Kris Jackson and Roger and April Dean; his father-in-law Arthur Jeter; brothers Bill Jackson and his wife Linda and Marvin Jackson and his wife Donna; a sister Eadith and husband Robert Hankins, Cleda McCullah and Jeanne Jackson; sister-in-law Melva Connelly and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at the Kentucky Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Committal will be 3:30 p.m. at the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko under the direction of Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuaries of Oklahoma City.
