Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Dessie Leo Canard, 90, who passed away December 19, 2003. Pastor Bill Marlow will officiate.
Mrs. Canard was preceded in death by her daughter, Helen and brothers, Elmer, Muriel, Philip and Hubert Ponder. She is survived by her son, Loyd Sasser of Minnesota; granddaughters, Kathy Petit of New Mexico, Delana Barry of Georgia, Jenine Nodine of South Carolina, Julie Fryer of Minnesota, and Jennifer Walsh of Minnesota; several great grandchildren and sisters, Ressie, Alpha Schaefer, Myrtle Lavender and Betty Lutz; brother, Jerry Sullivan.
