Traugott Hediger was born to Jacob and Marie Hediger on August 3, 1879 in Berne, Switzerland. He emigrated with is parents to America in 1881 settling for a short time in Edmond. His family then moved to Nebraska. He married Anna Marie Albrecht on October 21, 1903. My note:(She is not a member of the Albrecht family that is buried at the cemetery). They made their home in Edmond for two years, returning again to Nebraska, ranching at Thurston for ten years at Pierce for ten years, and at Emerson for five years. They moved to Edmond again in 1936 where they continued ranching for O. A. Cargill. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Oklahoma City, until 1962, becoming then a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church in Edmond.
Mr. Hediger went to his Lord on Thursday, January 5, 1978. He leaves to mourn his passing five sons: Hans, Edmond; Jack, Webber Falls; Charlie, Benton, Arkansas; George, Sioux City, Iowa and Ervin, Fresno, California. Interment will be at the Hediger Lutheran Cemetery near Edmond, Oklahoma. Baggerly's Funeral Home Edmond. Also there is an obit in the Daily Oklahoman Jan 7, 1978 page 5 that states about the same thing.
