ROSECRANS Charity Amy Hedge, 91, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000 in Okla City. Born 09-09-09 near Cement in Comanche County, OK. In 1912, she came to Bethany, OK and resided there the rest of her life. She attended Putnam schools, was a member of the American Legion and Eastern Star. She worked at her parents "Square Deal Grocery Store", the phone company, Wehrenberg Drug and Rost Drug. She also owned the Bethany Doll Hospital where she repaired dolls and was often known as the "Pink Lady."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie & Frank Brown, son Frank Hedge, brother Elmer Brown and husbands Marvin Hedge and Alvie Rosecrans. She is survived by sisters Bernice Selken and Anna Mae McCanlies, brother & sister-in-law John T. and Rosie Brown,granddaughters Theresa Hedge, Denise Trouard and LaDonna Degeyter, 7 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews and their families.
Memorials may be made to Vista Hospice or Putnam City United Methodist Church. Services are Fri., Oct. 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Putnam City Methodist Church, where she was a charter member, with burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
