David Lee Davis

David Lee Davis
Chapel Hill Funeral Home

David Lee (Dave) Davis was born on July 8, 1933 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Beulah Effie Mae and Jack Justin Davis and left this world to be with our Lord on January 1, 2015 at the age of 81.
He attended Fitzhugh High School and he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. In 1959 he met and married his beloved Barbara, and 51 anniversaries followed. Dave worked as a major appliance technician and parts representative for General Electric where he also served as President for the IBEW Union. After retirement from GE he worked for Hasbro toys.
He enjoyed working on race car pit crews for modified and super modified teams at Taft Stadium, State Fair Speedway, and Lawton Raceway and went on to successfully race remote control race cars. Dave also enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, and the occasional Friday night card game. He was also an avid sports fan, never missing Thunder Basketball, OU football, or NASCAR racing on TV.
He is survived by his daughters Leandra June Rogers, Lynda Schiff, and son David Kent Schiff; grandchildren Heather Schiff, Gary Lee and wife Jessica Rogers, and Kymbra June Mitchell; and great-grandchildren Gage Allen and Xander Lee Mitchell. He is also survived by sister and brother-in-law Ramona & James Graham, and brother Bennie Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son-in-law Kim, brothers Jimmie & Jack, and sister Martell. Dave was known to many as Paw Paw and is also survived by many of "Paw Paw's Kids."
Services celebrating Dave's life will be held on Tuesday January 6th at 2pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens (8701 N.W. Expressway).
