Helen Louise Baker, 89, passed away on May 11, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on October 22, 1926 to Lee and Clara (Johnson) Curry in Mound Valley, Kansas.
She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, and had a great sense of humor. Everyone that met her simply loved her. She was a very Christian woman, who loved The Lord and her church family. She played piano by ear, and loved to dance. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her grandson, Chris Engel, and great grandson Eli Baker. She is survived by daughters Rebecca Roberts Gilbertson and Stan, Constance Nail and Charles, Melissa Kay Engel and Roger; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; Siblings, Kay Carter, Bill Curry and Barbara Epperson; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
A viewing will be held from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2016 at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to Heavenly Hospice, 2420 Springer Dr #200, Norman, OK 73069.
