Corles Ethelyn Lee

Submitted by: Jerita Lee Balmes
Unknown Newspaper

On September 6, 1945 Corles, the 12 year old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Roland Lee of Weleetka passed away at an Oklahoma City hospital, after an illness of several months. In August of 1944, she underwent an operation and never fully regained her strength from the shock. Pneumonia developed, followed by lobar abscesses. She was taken to Oklahoma City and after having several transfusions, underwent an operation but the shock was too great for her.

Corles was born on the R.J. Catlett ranch near Weleetka and at the time was unusually strong in school work and music, being an honor student.

She is survived by her parents, Roland and Ethel Lee and two brothers, Dale and Laddie, of the home. She became a Christian and member of the First Baptist church, last October.

Funeral arrangements were made by Nick's Funeral Home, Wetumka. Burial will be in Hillcrest cemetery.
