Graveside rites were held March 15 at the Likowski Cemetery near Pharoah for Mary Francis Owen. Rev. Don Williamson officiated at the services.

Ms. Owen was born July 1, 1929 in Glensdale, AZ. To Perry Morse and Iva Van Winkle Morse and died March 12 in Henryetta at the age of 76.

She spent her childhood in Arizona. On March 16, 1953 she was married to Lawrence “Cotton” Owen and they made Weleetka their home for many years. To this union three children were born. Ms. Owen worked many years as a nurse aide at the local nursing facility.

She enjoyed fishing, spending time with their children and just being outside. She also enjoyed her vacations going home to Arizona with her late husband.

Preceding her in death was her husband, a grandchild, a sister Irene Miller: and a brother, Henry Horse.

Survivors include her children, Gary Owen of Ajo, AZ., Mary Murray of Stigler and Peggy Holt of Henryetta: a brother, Billy Dean Morse, Cottonwood Center, AZ., a sister Lorrine Marquos, Phoenix, AZ.; eight grandchildren: 11 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services were under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home.
