Funeral services were held April 11 at First Christian Church in Henryetta for David Thomas Bolt. Rev. Ron Black, assisted by Rev. Stephen Haney, officiated at the services.
Mr. Bolt was born June 23, 1929 in Okmulgee to Margurite and Jack Bolt and died April 8 in Tulsa at the age of 76.
He graduated from Weleetka High School in 1947 and later attended Oklahoma A & M College in Stillwater. Me married to Gerry (Briscoe) in Henryetta Dec 21, 1956.
Mr. Bolt was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He retired from the State of Oklahoma after 30 years if service as an enforcement officer.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Peggy Turner.
Survivors include his wife Gerry Bolt of the home in Henryetta: children, David Thomas Bolt Jr. and wife Angela, Oklahoma City, Sunni Gancarz, Norman. And Michelle Porter and husband Jerry, Henryetta : grandchildren. Jerrid, Trevor, Jackson Bolt, Christopher Gancarz and Lorene Porter, and great-grandchildren Madison Frazier, Newman, GA.; and other relatives and friends.
Private burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
