Abe Custar was born Sept 8, 1863 to George M. Custard and Susan Jane Graham in Jackson County, West Virginia. He married Anna Matilda Ludwig on Dec. 25, 1891. In 1883 the Custard's dropped the D in their name to Custar. Abe moved his family from Ripley, West Virginia to Okemah (Indian Territory) Oklahoma between 1900 & 1903 by covered wagon. Abe is survived by his wife Anna, thier children: Daniel Custar, Earl Custar, Clara Callison, George Dewey Custar, Claude Custar, Maude Adamson-Unterkircher, Auvil Custar, William Howard Custar, Edna (Sue) Hindman, and Edwin (Nick) Custar.
