Norval Winter

May 1, 1932 ~ June 3, 2005

Norval Winter A memorial service will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home for Norval Winter, age 73, on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at 3:30 p.m., at Valley Bible Church of Shafter. Pastor Mike Polley will officiate at the service.

Norval was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Albert and Emily Winter on May 1, 1932. He married Patricia Davis on December 20, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas. The couple came to Shafter in 1953. Norval founded Winters Automotive of Shafter. He was a member of the Valley Bible Church.

Norval is survived by his wife, Pat; sons, Carroll and wife, Linda Winter of Bakersfield, Kent Winter of Shafter; sisters, Gladys Alvie, Ruth Searcy and husband, Vernon all of Bakersfield; sister-in-law, Janet Mansfield and husband, Carl; 4 grandchildren, Tracy and husband, Kavin Brewer, Philip and wife, Melissa Winter, Desiree Winter and Jamie Winter; 3 great-grandchildren, Bailey and Brady Brewer and Kaylee Winter; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
