Frances Eleanor “Frankie” (Carroll) Trekell
Monday, May 16th, 1921 ~ Thursday, March 21st, 2024

  A Celebration of Life service for Frances “Frankie” Eleanor Trekell age 102 of Enid will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev’s Jim and Gail Edmison.

Burial will be 3:00 pm at Walnut Valley Cemetery, El Dorado, KS under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Frankie was born May 16, 1921 in Hinton, OK to Leo Francis and Wanda Alpha (Shaw) Carroll and passed away March 21, 2024 in The Commons. She grew up in Enid and attended Enid High School. She married Alfred “Wayne” Trekell on November 1, 1939 in Ark City, Kansas and he passed away December 4, 1987. She worked in El Dorado as a sales clerk and childcare in her home for many years. She moved to Enid in 1993. She attended First United Methodist Church in Enid and was a member of First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, KS. She enjoyed sewing, working in the garden and cooking. Wayne and Frankie liked to dance to Bob Wills music.

She is survived by her children, Jerry and wife Linda Trekell of Andover, KS and Glenda J. Hannon of Enid, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, a brother, a grandson Jim and great grandson Ryan.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
